Old Mutual is recruiting recent graduates to join the IT Trainee Programme.

Locations: Cape Town and Johannesburg

Job Description

This role is aimed at identifying and developing individuals who have the potential for an M role in the IT Job Family (e.g. Business Analyst, Analyst Programmer etc.).

These employees gain experience and business knowledge through project -based involvement and on-the-job training. The incumbent will be appointed as an IT Trainee until such time as the individual is ready for placement into one of the M roles (through the vacancy management process).

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in allocated tasks specific to typical roles in the IT project environment. Business Analysis linked activities would include collaborating in, but not be limited to: Requirements Gathering, Documentation, Analysis and Functional Testing.

Programming activities would include, but not be limited to: Requirements Analysis, Coding, Documentation and Unit Testing.

General Project Delivery Activities will include Financial Monitoring, Tracking, Reporting and Timekeeping.

Develop the above Skills to a level of Assessed Competency to be considered for placement into an elected role/path (through the vacancy management process). This is ideally achieved within an agreed timeframe.
