Job Purpose

This internship role is for a 12 month period (fixed term contract) and will include a study component. 

This developmental opportunity is a structured opportunity to incorporate academic, professional, and personal skills development, with a primary focus on business process analysis and improvement.

It enables the intern to integrate knowledge gained through their tertiary studies with the competencies made available through actual experience in a professional work setting.

As a graduate, you will be given exposure to the following:

  • Business process mapping, analysis, and improvement
  • Business requirements gathering and management
  • Data gathering, manipulation, analysis, modelling and reporting
  • Multi-disciplinary team collaboration
  • Documentation, presentation, communication and project coordination skills

Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION   Industrial Engineering Degree (B.Eng or B.Sc.Eng)

Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE None 

Key Responsibility Areas

Provide support to  an assigned Process Improvement Engineer with regards to:

  • Process mapping and improvement
  • Data gathering and analysis
  • Project coordination

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analytic and critical thinking skills
  • Computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Process mapping, analysis and optimisation/reengineering of business processes
  • Verbal and written proficiency
  • Planning and organising
  • Project coordination and planning
