The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) contributes to South Africa’s sustainable development by facilitating access to biodiversity data, generating information and knowledge, building capacity, providing policy advice, showcasing and conserving biodiversity in its national botanical and zoological gardens.

Available internships

x3 Environmental Management & Health (Malaria Control, WASH)

Child Aid Ehlanzeni, Malaria satellite office, Block A, behind Tonga Department of Public works, Nkomazi, Mpumalanga Province.

x2 Environmental Management & Planning – Mpumalanga Child Aid uMkhanyakude, uMkhanyakude District Health Offices Ntsinde street, Jozini, KwaZulu Natal Province.


  1. Environmental Management & Health – Diploma/Bachelor degree in Environmental Health or related qualification.
  2. Environmental Management & Planning – BSc. in Environmental & resource studies, National Diploma in Environmental Science or related qualification.
