About NRF iThemba LABS

iThemba LABS is a multidisciplinary organization, operating nationwide, where our competency is the provision of scientifically and medically useful radiation for training, research, radiation therapy and radionuclide production.

iThemba LABS uses a variety of particle accelerators to provide accelerated ions and associated detectors systems for use by researchers and students to conduct research in the fields of basic and applied nuclear physics; materials science/nanoscience; radiobiology (radiation effects on biological materials); and radiochemistry.

Our Western Cape Facility is situated in scenic surrounds on the old Cape Road, Faure, which runs parallel to the N2, between the M32 and the R310 routes, Somerset West. Our Gauteng facility is situated on Empire Road within the premises of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburgaa

Duties and Responsibilities

Purpose: The main missions will be to gain development and learning on the following:

Responsible is to support the HR Team in the day-to-day HR activities in accordance with human resources policies.

Carry out administrative processes in the recruitment process, such place adverts on the online systems, screening and shortlisting CV’s, MIE verifications; calling applicants for interviews, creating pre-interview packs for panel members as well as interview packs for various panel members.

Filling of all payrolls related functions such as creating new personnel files, update and maintain the HR filing systems on a regular basis;

Assist with capturing, checking, and filling performance agreements and reviews, assist with capturing training information on the annual WSP. • HR Meeting minutes, update the HR Calendar etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management
