Job Purpose
The Data Processing Clerk is responsible for the accurate capturing and recording of routine and assigned data and records on the Planned Maintenance Systems which includes, amongst others, machine and equipment hours, availability, utilisation, planned and unplanned work, backlogs and the compiling of reports.

Requirements
- Grade 12 Qualification or equivalent
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office
- Have at least 2 years experiencing working in a planned maintenance environment
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Established teamwork skills as well as organisational and administration skills
- Be able to handle conflict, cope with pressure and manage time effectively
- Demonstrate punctuality and dedication
- Computer literacy with intermediate proficiency in MS Office and SAP
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in sectional Safety, Health and Environment campaigns and activities
- Receive daily equipment checklist from Engineering and Mining Departments and capture applicable machine and equipment service information, running hours, etc. onto the system.
- Capture exceptions and create inputs for reporting at daily production meetings.
- Liaise with operational section heads to clarify queries on Check sheets and Work Orders
- Create job cards for component change-outs on major equipment ensuring accuracy on equipment data, serial number changes, operating hours and relevant dates associated with operational activities.
- Create backlog job cards for unplanned maintenance and related spares requirements
- Ensure the timely submission of work orders to the warehouse to secure the supply of required spares for planned tasks
- Print out Engineering daily’s and distribute to Engineering Overseer
- Capture return on work orders for the purpose of reporting
- Receive breakdown reports from the Control Room and capture applicable breakdown information, machine downtime and distribute to the Planner
- File all paperwork and maintain the filing system in good order at all times.
