The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) invites applications for the vacancy: EPWP Cleaner x9 posts.

POST EPWP CLEANERS: (09 X CONTRACT POSTS ENDING ON THE 31 MARCH 2025)
CENTRE: MAGISTRATE LEBOWAKGOMO (08) AND MAGATLE (01)
SALARY: R2 500.00 per month. Successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.

Location: The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development is seeking 9 EPWP Cleaners for the Magistrate Office in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo.

Requirements

N.B: This is recruitment in terms of the Government’s Expanded Public Works Programme. Conditions of employment as set out in the Code of Good Practice No 129 of 18 February 2011 for Expanded Public Works Programme shall apply.

Contract workers already given an opportunity will not be considered. The candidates must meet the following criteria as set out in the Code of Good Practice for employment and conditions of work for Expanded Public Works Programme.

Preference will be given to the following groups of -people;

  • 55% of successful candidates to be women
  • 40% of successful candidates to be youth from 18 — 35 years of age

  • People who come from households where the head of the household has less than a primary school education
  • People who come from households that have less than one full time person earning an income
  • People who come from households where subsistence agriculture is the source of income

Skills and Competencies

Ability to read and write, be able to work shift including weekends and public holiday, be honest reliable and have physical Strength. Be able to work as a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Clean floors, dusting, washing and polishing of furniture, walls, doors and frames, windows and lockers, cleaning of outside areas.

Clean and wash dust bins and removal of waste bags including medical waste and adhere to health care waste management policy Terminal cleaning of infected rooms.

Cope with physical demands of the position. Good control of chemicals and operate heavy duty cleaning machine. Ensure a clean and secure environment for Court Users. Perform any other delegated duties by supervisor.
