Hulamin is a leading aluminium semi-fabricator & fabricator of aluminium products. Employs at least 1800 people. The only major aluminium rolling operation in sub-Saharan Africa.

Minimum Requirements

Graduate Programs (Engineer In Training) are available in the following disciplines:

BSc or BEng university degree in one of the fields mentioned below.

  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Analytical Chemistry

About the program

The Engineer in training program is a two year structured program, during which the trainees are exposed to theoretical technical and leadership skills, as well as on the job practical training.

Each trainee is will be offered with an opportunity to complete a work based project, and be coached by experienced professional engineers.


  • Applications are ONLY open to South African citizens, from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • All applicants must meet the entry requirements of the university of choice and their field of study.
