The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is recruiting and invites applications for 2024 Animal Production Internships x38 posts.

Location: All nine Provinces

The ARC-Animal Production (ARC-AP) seeks to appoint highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic persons to the following positions : INTERNSHIPS X38: KAONAFATSO VA DIKGOMO POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN ALL NINE (9) PROVINCES (ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT FIXED TERM CONTRACT).

Key Performance Areas

  • Provide animal recording and improvement services to smallholder farrners.
  • Participate in the training and recruitment of farmers and teams in Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo Beef Recording and Improvement Scheme.
  • Visit farmers for beef recording and improvement purposes.

  • Train new participants in different phases of beef schemes.
  • Participate in focus sessions/meetings with farmers’ teams/ individuals.
  • Participate in the provincial farmer support tearn to implement the project
  • Compile monthly reports.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Animal Production.
  • Motivated and prepared to tray. to farms and villages.
  • Good human relations.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.

Competitive remuneration package will be congruent with the scope, responsibilities, and the stature of the position.

The appointment will be subject to a positive security clearance and preference will be given to designated groups In terms of the ARC Employment Equity Plan. Permanent appointments are subject to six (6) months’ probation period.
