Job Purpose

SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is recruiting for a Reconciliation Clerk.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

  • To Request Monthly Supplier statements
  • To reconcile monthly and weekly supplier statements to creditors ledger
  • Follow up and resolve outstanding queries and claims on supplier accounts
  • Submitting Supplier recons on specific deadlines
  • Communicating with suppliers on reconciling items

  • Interacting with Data capturers on invoice queries
  • Resolving outstanding claims on Gateway
  • Monthly stats report
  • Rotation of duties
  • Filing
  • Ad hoc


  • Matric, Mathematics and Accounting on Higher Grade (HG)
  • B Com or Accounting qualification
  • High level of numeracy
  • Computer literate (must be proficient in Microsoft Excel)
  • Basic understanding of financial principles
  • FMCG experience will be an added advantage
  • Accuracy, speed, and attention to detail is essential

  • Previous reconciling experience would be advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • SAP knowledge an added advantage
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Customer focused
  • A team player with integrity
