Applications are now open for the StellieTech Cybersecurity Bursary Programme 2024 in Stellenbosch.

Closing date: Applications must be submitted by Friday, 12 April 2024.

  • Training will start in May 2024.
  • Cost: None – Fully Paid Bursary

Location: Stellenbosch or remotely from a computer with a stable internet connection.

About the StellieTech Bursary

Do you have a CompTIA Security+ certificate and live in the Western Cape? If so, you could receive Stellietech’s annual Cybersecurity (3-month) bursary for their Internationally Accredited Penetration testing training and certification programme that will be taking place in May 2024.

Note: The programme can be done remotely, however, there will be some days when students will be required to come into the training facility (unless otherwise agreed).

We look forward to another successful Cybersecurity programme, boosting the employability and earning potential of the Stellietech Cybersecurity class of 2024.

Bursary Pre-requisites

  • – Have a CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Certification or Equivalent 
  • –  Currently unemployed
  • – South African citizen
  • – Will fully commit to completing the 3-month programme
  • – If done remotely, access to a computer and stable internet (can use the allowance to pay for that)
  • – If you would like to train at the academy, you will need to organise transport to Stellenbosch Techno Park

Benefits from the Bursary

StellieTech, a CompTIA Authorised Delivery Partner, is offering an exciting and fully paid 3-month cybersecurity bursary programme to individuals who are CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ certified.

With this 3-month bursary, you will receive:

  • – Over R10k allowance
  • – Full training (remote or from the Stellietech Stellenbosch academy)
  • – Internationally accredited exam and certification
  • – Mentors to help you through the programme
  • – Mentors to help you enter the workforce
  • – Community of learners
  • – Part-time | 3days/week


  • Have a CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Certification.
  • You must be a South African National
  • Available to study full/part time for 3 months starting in May 2024. Added advantages (Not a requirement)
  • Live within 1 hour of Stellenbosch
  • Lecturer or supervisor reference letter.
