Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent qualifications.
- Relevant experience in the food industry, hygiene and safety.
- Good communication skills and willing to work in a team.
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
- Must be able to do work of a physical nature.
- Must be willing to work shifts and public holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine tasks in the Food Service Unit and operate large scale equipment. Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met and maintained in the Unit.
Unpacking and packing of provisions into cold rooms and freezer. Maintain the cleanliness of cold rooms, freezer and storerooms. Preparation, portioning and distribution of normal and therapeutic diets.
Adhere to set policies and guidelines regulating Food Services. Be prepared to rotate within the unit as when the need arise.
