Mapeo-Andi Mining Services is looking to recruit suitable candidates for Mining Skills Programme and Portable skills training.

Location: Northern Cape

Learnerships are a uniquely South African option designed to rollout training and workplace-focused education to unemployed youth.

They aim to provide life-long skills and allow you to gain meaningful workplace experience which help you in securing a job.

About Mapeo-Andi Mining Services

Mapeo-Andi Mining Services (PTY) LTD is a company based in Postmasburg, Northern Cape. Its main objective is to render support activities in the mining industry, specifically for coal mining, non-metallic mineral mining and quarrying, anthracite mining, iron ore mining and drilling services.

The Company is currently operating at Kolomela Mine, Postmasburg, Northern Cape, carrying out load and haul activities and drilling services.

Fields of Training Available

• Skills Programme: Operate Mobile Machinery for Surface Excavation (Mining TMM)
• Skills Programme: Paving (Portable Skills)
• Skills Programme: Tiling (Portable Skills)
• Skills Programme: Arch Welding (Portable Skills)

Minimum Entry Level

  • Grade 10-12 or equivalent certificate from TVET colleges.
  • Driver’s license is mandatory for mining skills programme.
  • Applicants must reside within the Tsantsabane Local Municipality and proof of address must be submitted.

Mining skills programme successful candidates will be required to undergo full medical tests as a mandatory condition of entry into the mine.
