Available Vacancies
Fire Fighter Gr1
An opportunity has become available for a Fire Fighter Gr1, reporting to the Crew Commander Operational and Medical. The successful incumbent will be based at Lanseria International Airport.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- GR. 12 or equivalent.
- NFPA Fire Fighter 1 and Haz Mat awareness or,
- SAFSI Preliminary Certificate in Fire Technology or,
- IFE Preliminary Certificate in Fire Engineering.
- Registered at the Health Professional Council of South Africa at Basic Life Support level or,
- Emergency Care and Safety Institute as Emergency Medical Responder.
- Physically fit
- Minimum 1 year experience at a recognized professional Emergency Services Department.
- Code C1 Driver’s License.
Intermediate Life Support Medic/ Fire Fighter Gr2
An opportunity has become available for an Intermediate Life Support Medic/ Fire fighter grade 2, reporting to the Platoon Commander. The successful incumbent will be based at Lanseria International Airport.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- GR 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 / 5 experience at a recognised professional Emergency Service.
- Registered at the Health Professionals Council of South Africa at Intermediate Life Support level.
- Fire Fighter 1 or
- IFE Level 2 certificate
- Code C Driver’s License.
Crew Commander Operations
An opportunity has become available for a Baggage Handler(Fixed- Term) x7 , reporting to the Apron Manager. The successful incumbent will be based at Lanseria International Airport.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Ensuring on time and correct delivery of luggage
- Any other task that may be assigned from time to time
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- GR 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 experience at a recognised professional Emergency Service of which at least 1 year at an airport with a category of not less than 5.
- NFPA Fire Fighter 2 with Haz Mat Operations or,
- SAFSI Preliminary Certificate in Fire Technology or,
- IFE Certificate in Fire Engineering Level 3
- Registered at the Health Professionals Council of South Africa at Basic Life Support level or,
- Emergency Care and Safety Institute as First Responder.
- Code C Driver’s License.
- Relevant RFFS vehicle Pump / Driver competencies.
