Assistant Manager Finance Inventory

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The incumbent of this position will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Department, to meet the company objectives with regards to providing accurate, reliable & timeous information to Senior Management with regards to Inventory Management.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual inventory reporting
  • Preparation of monthly Inventory general ledger reconciliations
  • Processing of inventory month end journals on SAP
  • Prepare the balance sheet review document / Vehicles Schedule / Provisions Schedule
  • Upload vehicle stock values On Business Warehouse (BW)

  • CONETS Reporting for Inventory
  • Forecast Vehicles on Hand in line with the cash flow forecast parameters.
  • Prepare the group inventory budget.
  • Plan and conduct count to ensure completeness and existence of stock.
  • Co-ordination of Count process
  • Assist Inventory Team when and where required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • NQF 5 (240 credits) Degree / Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and understanding of SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Sarbanes Oxley processes (advantageous)

Assistant Manager Finance Govt Rebates

Purpose:  This position will fulfill the necessary requirements within the Duty Rebates team in Finance to meet objectives with regards to the controlling and managing of Export Vehicles and Components PI claims, as well as management support for the APDP and reporting thereof.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Accurate and timeous preparation, submission and control of export vehicles, catalytic converters and P&A PRC claims
  • PI budget for export vehicles and catalytic converters
  • Monthly forecast and cashflow support
  • Variance analysis on monthly accruals against budget

  • Consolidation of export vehicles and catalytic converts documentation for the monthly accruals and follow-up on outstanding documentation
  • Monthly KPI’s reporting to management
  • Ensure export vehicles and components production rebate accruals are prepared and the relevant SAP journals and recons are accurate and completed timely
  • Kaizen of the PRC processes and systems to improve and simplify current methods

  • Above average attention to detail
