APPLICATIONS are now open for an internship opportunity at Stevenson Gallery Cape Town. The arts centre is looking for an intern with a focus on digital.

Internship Purpose

Stevenson Gallery are seeking a tech-savvy intern who thrives in fast-paced changing environments, someone who is motivated by innovation and sees solutions where others see problems.

The candidate would become a key player in our digital team – producing and curating content for the gallery’s digital platforms.

About the internship

The internship encompasses a wide range of duties. Alongside the candidate’s role within our digital team, responsibilities would include assisting in the production of exhibitions, art fairs and related documents, preparing for gallery events and administrative support to gallery staff.

Depending on the candidate’s interests and abilities, other duties may include working on special projects, playing a supportive role in website management, and assisting with publications and research.

This position is a developmental opportunity that provides excellent exposure to the inner workings of a commercial art gallery and is ideally suited for those interested in pursuing a career in the business side of art.

Benefits

This position is paid and the term is 3 months, with the possibility of extension, commencing as soon as possible. Working hours are full time with flexibility.

Requirements

Candidates proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Instagram are preferred.
