Purpose of Job

As an intern, you’ll play a crucial role in identifying and analyzing valuable information from various data sources to support business decision-making.

Training will be provided to develop your knowledge of the business and industry, specific business units, systems, and technical job-related skills.

Plus, you’ll enhance your professional interpersonal skills, including networking, communication, and time management.

Duties and Responsibilities

Problem Formulation and Solution Development: • Collaborate with the business to formulate and develop solutions.

Analysis: • Conduct analysis to determine trends or patterns leading to valuable business insights.

Data Preparation and Visualization:

  • Prepare data for insights and visualization.
  • Master the art of storytelling through data visualization.

Simulation: • Learn and use simulation modelling to find an implementable solution for a business.

Advanced Analytics: • Explore advanced analytics mainly for input and output analysis and insights using advanced analytical skills

Skills and Attributes

Skills

  • Ability to problem-solve creatively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematical and statistical modeling.
  • Good understanding of statistics.

Wish list

  • Computer programming skills (e.g., R, C++, Python, VBA).
  •  Experience with advanced analytics and visualization tools.
  •  Familiarity with relevant visualization tools (e.g., QlikView, Tableau, PowerBI).
  •  Process engineering understanding will be very useful

Qualifications

Formal Education

Honns/MSC Computer Science, Honns/MSc Data Science, Honns/MSc Mathematics, Honns/MSc Operations Research, Honns/MSc Statistics or Honns/MEng
