JOB SUMMARY

Proudly South African is hiring for an exciting role: Events & Exhibitions Coordinator – (Ref NO – ECC 2024).

REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R20 000.00 to R25 000.00 per month plus benefits. 

Proudly South African, the country’s national buy local campaign, seeks to influence local procurement in the public and private sectors and to influence consumers to buy local, thereby stimulating local production and manufacturing which in turn leads to job creation.

Formed through NEDLAC, Proudly South African fits hand-in-glove with the broader national developmental agenda and the Local Procurement Accord signed in October 2011.

MINUMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Matric 
  2. An appropriate recognised degree/diploma or equivalent qualification. 
  3. A minimum of three year’s relevant experience with organising corporate events, exhibitions & projects. 
  4. Drivers Licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel as and when required. 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate Proudly South African events, exhibitions and promotions. 
  • Initiate planning and coordination prior to, during and after events, activations, exhibitions and promotional projects (both physical and virtual). 
  • Manage and liaise with service providers. 
  • Preparation of event budgets and project plans. 
  • Prepare communiques or circulars for upcoming events, exhibitions and promotions.

  • Identify delegates and coordinate involvement of members for events and exhibitions. 
  • Collate reports from feedback and distribute customer satisfaction surveys after every event, exhibition and/or activation. 
  • Implement marketing plans that aim to promote Proudly South African’s internal and external activities, brands, products and services. 

  • Compile and submit reports (weekly, monthly, annually, projects, close out, pre/post and ad hoc). 
  • The ability to perform miscellaneous/adhoc and other appropriate duties as assigned. 
  • Comply and adhere to key deliverables as informed by annual performance plan(s). 
  • Ability to formulate creative ideas and be innovative. 
  • Resilient, hard-working individual with project/time management skills and ability to work within the stipulated levels and delegations of authority in the organisation.
