The positions General Workers has become available at our Pietermaritzburg and Kempton Park Depots. The purpose of this job is to pick stock and make up customer orders as per customer invoice and prepare same for despatch as per customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows stock rotation procedure, FIFO (first in first out), as per Stock Controller instructions when picking order.
- Packs orders in cardboard containers once order has been checked, addresses/marks them as per customer requirements and ensures that the necessary documentation is either inside or attached to the carton/package.
- Assists fellow workers with execution of tasks whenever own responsibilities have been executed and completed.
- Ensures that work area/s are neat, tidy, organised and clean at all times.
- Assists with and adheres to security measures to ensure the safety of products, assets and facility.
- Picks products and makes up orders as per customer order and transfers them to the holding area for checking.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential)
- Previous General Worker experience (preferential)
