Guided by our purpose and our values. we en able both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to promote ‘Smart Platinum Mining’, delivering on metals (PGMs) including platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium and osmium.
Description
Engineering Learnership is a structured learning process for gaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the workplace leading to a Artisan qualification. Learnership duration is 36 months.
Role requirements
The successful candidate must have the following basic requirements.
- Minimum of completed N2 subjects or NCV level 4 with 7 subjects completed or equivalent not less that Grade 12
- Minimum E-symbol (40%)
- Medical Certificate of Fitness

- Diesel Mechanic
- Mathematics (not mathematics Literacy)
- Engineering Science
- Engineering Drawing
- Diesel Trade Theory
- Mathematics (not mathematics Literacy)
- Engineering Science
- Industnal Electrodes
- Instrumentation Trade
The Learner must be willing to commit him/herself to the full training period stipulated on the Learnership contract.

Eland Platinum Mine is a mining operation which forms part of the Northam Platinum Limited group. II is situated near the vi brant towns of the North West Province—Brits and Hartebeestpoort as well as Pretoria. the administrative capital city of South Africa.
The mine is a high quality growth-enabling asset currently in a development phase and has a life expectancy of 30 years. The Eland mining operation is a shallow hybrid UG2 PGMs reef, built in decline shafts that give access to the orebody reserves.
