Job Summary
Northam Eland Platinum Mine has an exciting opportunity for a Miner Assistant who will assist the Miner with daily mining activities.
Closing date: 23 May 2024
The successful incumbent will be required to contribute t the overall production targets of the crew .

Qualifications
- · Grade 10 or equivalent
- · Competent B and BA certificate of competency
- · Medical Certificate of Fitness
Experience
- · At least 1-2 years’ experience in a underground mining environment
Key performance areas
- As our Miner Assistant some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- · Ensuring that the underground working conditions are maintained to a high and acceptable standard
- · Conducting all assigned work in a satisfactory and competent manner
- · Assisting the Miner/Developer as and when required
- · Contribute to a culture of zero harm by complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
- · Ensure proper house keeping in area of work as per Mine standards
Additional requirements
- · Working knowledge of health and safety procedures, policies, records etc
- · Medical Certificate of Fitness
