Deadline: Ongoing
At the forefront of this revolution, the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) is searching for a talented and motivated Junior Data Scientist to join their dynamic team. This position not only offers the opportunity to work remotely but also to contribute to important global research on conflict and political instability.
About the organization
The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data organization (ACLED) is a disaggregated data collection, analysis, and crisis mapping institution. The ACLED team collects conflict information, conducts analysis to describe, explore, and test conflict scenarios, and makes both data and analysis open for free use by the public. ACLED is the highest quality and most widely used real-time data and analysis source on political violence and protest around the world.
As we continue to expand our impact, we seek passionate individuals who are not only skilled in data analysis but also understand the importance of our mission. If you are excited about using your analytical capabilities to affect positive change, we want to hear from you!
The Role
The Junior Data Scientist position at ACLED is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data science and social research. Your primary responsibilities will include:
