Role Responsibilities
As the Senior HR Officer, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing our HR strategies, policies, and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment process for various roles across the organization, developing strategies to attract and retain top talent. Collaborate with hiring managers to create clear job descriptions, conduct interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, managing conflicts, and promoting open communication. Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance evaluation process, providing guidance to managers on setting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback. Ensure that employees receive timely evaluations and support for their professional development.
- Learning and Development: Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Collaborate with team leaders to create individualized development plans that align with organizational goals.
- Compliance: Ensure that all HR practices comply with labor laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in employment law, best practices, and trends in HR management.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR data to identify trends, drive decision-making, and develop recommendations for improving HR processes and employee engagement.
Qualifications
To be successful in this remote Senior HR Officer position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent experience in business administration, HR, language studies, or related areas.
- A minimum of 3 years progressively responsible experience in HR, general administration and/or office management.
- Excellent command of written and oral Arabic and English.
- A tactful fast learner with a friendly and cheerful personality.
- Advanced user of IT including Word processing, Excel databases use.
- Operate in compliance with organizational regulations and rules.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Able to maintain professional confidentiality on HR matters.
- Ability to work within a multicultural, multilingual, and multidisciplinary environment and to work effectively with others.
- Previous experience in INGOs or NGOs is required.
- Always available attitude.
- Flexibility to adjust within an online working environment
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or HR certification (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or international organization context. Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management is essential.
- Remote Work Experience: Familiarity with managing remote teams and facilitating virtual collaboration tools and practices.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage and inspire individuals across all levels of the organization.
- Cultural Competence: A deep understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in HR analytics and metrics to guide strategic decision-making.
