Responsibilities
1. Drives vehicles safely for the transport of journalists and radio producers, and other authorized passengers.
2. Ensures vehicles are clean and ready to be used, with fuel and in good technical conditions.
3. Deals effectively and tactfully with journalists and staff, and authorized passengers.
4. Takes care of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, among other related tasks.
5. Performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that vehicle is kept clean.
6. Assists the workshop in the preparation of vehicles for field trips, such as changing wheels, cleaning air filters, and general check-over.
7. Logs fuel consumption, maintenance, and related tasks. 8. Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of an accident, like filling an incident report.
9. Respect work schedules and be flexible to work outside formal working hours, weekends and holidays.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
