Language Teachers Wanted!
As a language teacher at the United Nations, you will be part of a dynamic team that helps individuals from diverse backgrounds communicate effectively in multiple languages. We are seeking talented language teachers to teach languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese to staff members and visitors at our headquarters in New York.
Job Opportunities:
- Arabic Language Teacher: We are looking for an Arabic language teacher to join our team and teach Arabic to staff members and visitors. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Arabic language and literature or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Chinese Language Teacher: We are seeking a Chinese language teacher to teach Mandarin Chinese to staff members and visitors. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Chinese language and literature or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- French Language Teacher: We are looking for a French language teacher to join our team and teach French to staff members and visitors. The ideal candidate should have a degree in French language and literature or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Russian Language Teacher: We are seeking a Russian language teacher to teach Russian to staff members and visitors. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Russian language and literature or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Spanish Language Teacher: We are looking for a Spanish language teacher to join our team and teach Spanish to staff members and visitors. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Spanish language and literature or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Portuguese Language Teacher: We are seeking a Portuguese language teacher to teach Portuguese to staff members and visitors. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Portuguese language and literature or a related field, and at least 2 years of teaching experience.
Responsibilities:
As a language teacher at the United Nations, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching languages to staff members and visitors
- Developing curriculum materials and lesson plans
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress
- Participating in professional development activities
Requirements:
To be considered for these exciting opportunities, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in language education or a related field
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Fluency in the target language (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
